We value a collaborative, innovative, and an inclusive culture. We are looking for a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our legal team. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated retail and office lease transactions for a diverse portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in a setting that demands accuracy, efficiency, and strong communication skills.

The Paralegal is responsible for providing support to attorneys. Under the direction of an attorney, with minimal supervision, the Paralegal would assist with all aspects of commercial real estate leases. Must possess a high level of communication skills (written and verbal). Trust, accuracy, and ability to multitask under pressure are important to this position. This is an excellent opportunity for those who excel at managing multiple projects and tasks, are proficient at using software, have acute attention to detail and enjoy a professional environment.

This position is based in Raleigh, NC and is eligible for a hybrid working schedule.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Draft, review, and revise retail and office lease documents, amendments, assignments, and related agreements.

Coordinate and track lease transactions from initial draft through execution and closing.

Assist attorneys with due diligence, lease audits, and property management matters.

Maintain organized electronic files and manage critical dates and deliverables throughout the transaction process.

Communicating with and responding to clients both orally and through written communications.

Qualifications:

Experience in the legal field, primarily as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal preferred.

Strong understanding of lease terms, legal descriptions, and commercial real estate documentation preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and document management systems.

Highly organized and detail oriented.

Proactive and able to take ownership of work products.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.

ABA approved Paralegal course of study or North Carolina State Paralegal Certification preferred.
