SCHAR-14 SayPro Program , and we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Jewish School Officer
to support and coordinate these efforts. Position Summary
The
Jewish School Officer
will work closely with school leaders, students, families, and community partners to implement, manage, and enhance student programs that reflect Jewish values, heritage, and learning. This is an excellent role for someone passionate about Jewish education and community life who thrives in a collaborative, student-focused environment. Key Responsibilities
Support the coordination and delivery of the
SCHAR-14 SayPro
initiatives, including: Quarterly Responsibilities
Extracurricular Activities:
Plan and assist with engaging enrichment activities that align with Jewish values and support student growth beyond the classroom. Community and Fellowship:
Facilitate school-wide initiatives that promote a sense of unity, belonging, and shared purpose within the Jewish community. Monthly Responsibilities
Jewish Clubs and Organizations:
Organize student-led clubs and youth group meetings that promote leadership, learning, and Jewish community involvement. Arts and Culture:
Deliver cultural programs, including Hebrew calligraphy, traditional Jewish music, and drama productions that celebrate heritage. Sports and Recreation:
Manage inclusive athletics programs that prioritize teamwork, fitness, and Jewish principles of modesty and mutual respect. School Events:
Support the planning and execution of school-wide events, including Shabbat dinners, holiday observances, and mitzvah projects. Parent and Synagogue Involvement:
Strengthen relationships between the school, families, and local synagogues through meaningful collaboration and participation. Local and Global Outreach:
Encourage and coordinate student involvement in Jewish-led charity, tzedakah projects, and international outreach efforts that embody the value of
tikkun olam
(repairing the world). Candidate Requirements
Essential: Experience in program coordination, youth work, or educational support roles. Strong knowledge of Jewish customs, holidays, and cultural practices. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, families, and community partners. Preferred: Background in Jewish education, nonprofit, or community work. Experience in event planning or extracurricular programming. A proactive and student-centered approach. Why Join SayPro?
