Regional Employment Specialist - Ohio National Guard Employment Enhancement Program (NGEEP) Category: Administration Established in 2006, Interactive Government Holdings, Inc. (IGH) is a professional services and technology provider to the Federal government. IGH serves military personnel and their support systems through strategy, data science and technology, with a national and international contract staff and a small HQ in Springfield, Virginia. IGH is committed to helping active duty personnel and reservists balance civilian employment with military service. IGH is seeking a qualified Regional Lead Employment Specialist within the Ohio National Guard's Employment Enhancement Program. The Regional Lead Employment Specialist will provide leadership to the team of Employment Specialists serving Soldiers, Airmen, and their families, leveraging broad knowledge of military personnel and human resources to align civilian employment with military service in the Ohio National Guard. The role includes representing the interests of the Ohio National Guard, the Adjutant General's office, Guardsmen, dependents and employers by matching employer hiring needs with the skills and training of Ohio National Guardsmen. The successful candidate will train and oversee the team, coordinate with the Program Manager (PM), and connect service members with military-friendly employers. Mission The Ohio National Guard Employment Enhancement Program provides employment opportunities and career options to members of the Ohio National Guard and other Reserve Components, while working with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Program Support Specialist. The program aims to deploy Employment Specialists across Ohio, provide technical support to managers, supervisors, members of the National Guard and other Reserve Components, and their dependents on benefits and entitlements, and ensure standardization and continuity of service. Responsibilities

The Lead Employment Specialist performs all duties of an Employment Specialist (EC) and represents the PM in the absence of the PM. Provide support services including counseling, training and assisting with job searches, interview skills and resume preparation. Follow-up and track progress, documenting contact with each client. Coordinate local, state and federal employment resources and actively refer service members to employment opportunities. Provide training on job search strategies, resume writing and interviewing techniques. Schedule and conduct briefings at Guard and Reserve units; inform service members of available services and collect employment data. Develop, plan and conduct employer outreach; maintain and expand relationships; document activities. Act as the POC for planning activities and referrals for employment. Maintain databases of clients, employers and units; track communication, referrals, job leads, placements and services provided. Foster collaboration with ESGR representatives. Attend community events (3–4 per month Job Fairs/Events; 3–6 YRRP and 2–4 ESGR events per year). Create reports summarizing briefings, trainings, events, activities and campaigns. Weekend work may be required to support Guard/Reserve drill weekends, with schedules arranged to ensure a 40-hour work week. Additional Lead responsibilities

Oversee and maintain the database management program (currently Access). Analyze employment data to generate unemployment and underemployment statistics monthly and annually. Conduct Customer Satisfaction Surveys and implement improvements. Develop and maintain a Quality Control Plan to ensure services meet the PWS. Analyze team performance, identify best practices, monitor KPIs, and implement improvements. Create and execute Social Media and Marketing plans. Update literature and briefing materials (territory maps, handouts, sign-up sheets, PowerPoint presentations). Attend ESGR EXCOM and APAM meetings for ESP updates. Perform trend analysis, identify problems, and implement changes. Conduct scheduled conference calls with the team and corporate office; record minutes. Create and submit Monthly Progress Reports summarizing EC activities and accomplishments. Perform HR-related functions including time sheets, PTO, travel, trainings, and staffing aligned with the PWS. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience

Education: BA/BS required. 5–10 years of military experience including a program management lead position, with knowledge of military personnel and human resources as they relate to balancing civilian life with military service; familiarity with ESP activities and services. 1–3 years’ experience in employment assistance, recruiting, HR management, or related fields; knowledge of Guard and Reserve logistics, maintenance programs, regulations, SOPs and deployment cycles. Ability to implement plans and programs to generate stakeholder support for service member, veteran and family employment and placement. Experience working with Federal, state, and local programs and services to prepare clients for job opportunities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
