Regional Employment Specialist - Ohio National Guard Employment Enhancement Program (NGEEP) | Category Administration Established in 2006, Interactive Government Holdings, Inc. (IGH) is a professional services and technology provider to the Federal government, serving men and women in uniform globally and their support systems locally. IGH uses strategy, data science and technology to improve program efficiency. IGH has national and international contract staff with a small HQ team in Springfield, Virginia. IGH is seeking a qualified Regional Lead Employment Specialist to support the Ohio National Guard's Employment Enhancement Program. The Regional Lead Employment Specialist will provide leadership to a team of Employment Specialists serving Soldiers, Airmen and their families, applying broad knowledge of military personnel and human resources to balance civilian employment with military service in the Ohio National Guard. The role represents the interests of the Ohio National Guard, the Adjutant General's office, Guardsmen, dependents and employers by aligning employer hiring needs with the skills, knowledge and training of Ohio National Guardsmen. The successful candidate will train and supervise the team, coordinate with the Program Manager (PM), and connect service members with military-friendly employers. Mission The Ohio National Guard Employment Enhancement Program provides employment opportunities and career options to Ohio National Guard members and other Reserve Components, while working with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). The program aims to deploy Employment Specialists across Ohio and provide technical support to managers, supervisors, members of the National Guard and their dependents regarding benefits and entitlements, ensuring standardization and continuity of service. Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities (not all inclusive) : The Lead Employment Specialist performs all duties of an Employment Specialist (EC) and represents the PM in their absence. Provide support services including counseling, training and assisting with job searches, interview skills and resume preparation. Follow-up and track progress, documenting contact with each client. Coordinate local, state and federal employment resources and actively refer service members to opportunities. Provide training on job search strategies, resume writing and interviewing techniques. Schedule and conduct briefings at Guard and Reserve units, informing service members of available services and collecting employment data. Develop, plan and conduct employer outreach; maintain and expand relationships; document activities. Act as the point of contact for planning activities and referrals for employment. Maintain a database of clients, employers and units; track communications, referrals, leads, placements and assistance. Collaborate with ESGR representatives. Attend community events such as job fairs, Yellow Ribbon events and ESGR events (monthly/quarterly). Create reports to summarize briefings, trainings, events, activities, taskings and campaigns. Weekend work may be required for Guard/Reserve drills; schedules arranged to ensure 40 hours per week. Additional Lead responsibilities : Oversee and maintain a database management program (currently Access). Gather and analyze employment data to generate unemployment and underemployment statistics. Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and implement improvements. Develop and maintain a Quality Control Plan to ensure services meet the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Analyze team performance, identify best practices, monitor KPIs and implement improvements. Create and execute social media and marketing plans. Update literature and briefing materials, including territory maps, handouts, sign-up sheets and PowerPoint presentations. Attend ESGR EXCOM and APAM meetings and provide ESP updates. Perform trend and change analyses, identify issues, and implement changes. Conduct scheduled conference calls with the team and corporate office; record minutes. Prepare Monthly Progress Reports outlining EC activities and accomplishments. Perform HR-related duties including time sheets, PTO, travel and trainings; maintain staffing per PWS. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education: BA/BS required. 5-10 years of military experience, including program management lead roles; broad knowledge in military personnel and human resources, balancing civilian life with military service; knowledge of ESP activities and services. 1-3 years’ experience in employment assistance, recruiting or HR management; prior case management or experience with employment services programs; knowledge of Guard/Reserve logistics, maintenance programs, operations, automation systems, regulations, policies, SOPs and deployment cycles. Ability to implement plans and programs to generate stakeholder support for service member/veteran/family employment and career placement. Experience working with Federal, state and local programs to prepare clients for job opportunities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
