Full-time / Part-time Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs and abilities of each student. Support the delivery of a specialized curriculum that meets diverse learning styles, including academic, life skills, and vocational training. Work closely with educators, therapists, and support staff to provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Facilitate access to therapeutic services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, and counselling, either onsite or through referrals. Help maintain adapted classrooms and learning spaces ensuring accessibility and comfort for all students. Engage with parents and caregivers through regular communication to monitor and support student progress. Assist with physical adaptations in classrooms and facilities including ramps, adaptive furniture, and assistive technology. Support personalized learning strategies and accommodations for specific disabilities and challenges. Collaborate with medical professionals, therapists, and special education experts to provide comprehensive care and support. Promote life skills training, self-care, and independent living skills tailored to students’ individual needs. Encourage and facilitate student participation in community activities and social integration programs. Requirements:
Relevant qualification or experience in Special Education, Educational Support, or related field. Understanding of special needs education and disability support. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving educational outcomes for learners with disabilities. Good communication and teamwork skills.
