Job Summary
Responsible for a broad range of financial and business functions related to the administration and management of portfolio of research grants, awards, and contracts in the College of Nursing, Niedfelt Nursing Research Center (NNRC). Partner with faculty in budget development, submission, and post‑award management including grant management and reconciliation, cost allocation and forecasting, purchasing, contract management, continuation and expansion of budget requests, budget realignment, reporting and close‑out for NIH, HRSA, USDA, DOD, foundation, and intramural grants.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
2 years increasingly responsible administrative support to include accounting/budgeting and experience with research grants administration
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills
In‑depth knowledge of NIH grant policies, RPPR, ASSIST, xTRACT, xTRAIN, and era Commons
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, problem‑solving, sound judgment, and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
Must be able to work independently, maintain confidentiality of privileged information, meet deadlines, remain flexible to changing schedules and priorities
Understanding of financial and regulatory environment
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Business, Public Administration, Behavioral/Basic Science or related field
Experience with grant submissions and/or budgetary systems
Experience in academic setting and/or in supporting multiple people
Experience with SAP, Cayuse 424
