Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Talent Acquisition Specialist- Connecting Top Talent with Leading Companies The Materials Planner is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient flow of materials and components required for production operations. This role focuses on demand forecasting, inventory control, supplier coordination, and production scheduling to meet customer requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and supply chain systems.

This is a Direct Hire role offering a starting salary of $85k to $95k and a generous benefits package as well.

Key Responsibilities

Material Planning & Scheduling:

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH RAW MATERIALS

Develop, implement, and manage material plans to meet production schedules and customer demand.

Monitor and adjust schedules in response to changes in production priorities, material shortages, or customer demand fluctuations.

Inventory Management:

Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support production without creating excess or obsolete stock.

Perform regular inventory analysis and reconcile discrepancies.

Communicate daily with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.

Expedite critical materials as required and proactively address potential supply disruptions.

Evaluate supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and responsiveness.

Production Support:

Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless material availability for manufacturing operations.

Support new product launches and engineering changes by planning material needs and coordinating phase‑in/phase‑out activities.

Data Management & Reporting:

Maintain accurate planning data in ERP/MRP systems.

Generate reports on inventory levels, material shortages, and supplier performance for management review.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.

Experience:

3+ years of materials planning or supply chain experience, preferably in the

automotive or manufacturing industry .

Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).

Skills:

Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Ability to work independently and cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

APICS/CPIM certification or similar supply chain certification.

Experience with lean manufacturing principles or just‑in‑time (JIT) systems.

Knowledge of automotive OEM and Tier 1 supplier processes.
