Indirect Business Development Representative
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Community Credit Union of Florida in living out our Mission, “ **Always improve the financial well-being of our members and make a positive difference in our community**.”
The Indirect Business Development Representative is responsible for growing and maintaining the credit union’s indirect lending program by building strong, long‑term relationships with auto, RV, and other dealership partners. This role serves as the primary point of contact for dealers, promoting credit union loan products, providing training and support, and ensuring a seamless experience from application through funding. The Indirect Business Development Representative actively develops new dealer partnerships, monitors loan quality and compliance, and represents the credit union in the community to increase loan volume, strengthen dealer satisfaction, and expand member relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Dealer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with auto, RV, and powersports dealerships in the credit union’s market.
Act as the primary liaison between the credit union and dealerships.
Provide ongoing training to dealer staff on credit union loan programs, systems, and processes.
Loan Production & Growth
Promote credit union loan products and services to increase indirect loan volume.
Assist dealers in structuring loan deals that fit credit union guidelines and meet member needs.
Identify opportunities to expand partnerships and recruit new dealerships into the program.
Service & Support
Respond promptly to dealer questions about loan status, underwriting requirements, and funding.
Work with internal underwriting and processing teams to ensure smooth, timely loan closings.
Resolve service or funding issues quickly to maintain strong dealer satisfaction.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure indirect loans submitted through dealers comply with credit union policies, procedures, and lending regulations.
Monitor dealer performance and loan quality to mitigate risks.
Report concerns about loan trends, delinquency, or dealer practices to management.
Market Development & Reporting
Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
Track production results, dealer activity, and performance metrics.
Provide management with regular reports on loan volume, dealer pipeline, and territory activity.
Community & Brand Representation
Represent the credit union at dealer events, trade shows, and community activities.
Act as an ambassador of the credit union brand in the marketplace.
Organizational Alignment
Demonstrates enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values, and long‑term objectives by performing job duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards, and our work procedures while possessing adequate product knowledge as measured by the annual product knowledge assessment.
Delivers service to both internal and external members that is in alignment with the credit union’s Service Promises, and meets all established service goals.
Abides by CCU’s Service Promises when helping a member or co‑worker to ensure timely responsiveness to the individual’s needs. Promotes teamwork, respects opinions, abilities, and contributions of others, and conveys a willingness to assist and cooperate with others for the benefit of the organization.
Assists in attaining established departmental goals and adheres to all credit union standard operating policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations and guidelines.
Performs other duties and works on special projects as assigned.
ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
The work is primarily performed in a standard office environment with frequent travel to dealerships within the assigned territory. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to attend dealer events or community activities. The position involves prolonged periods of driving, sitting, standing, and computer use, and may require walking, climbing stairs, and light lifting of up to 20 pounds when attending events or transporting materials. Travel includes driving a personal vehicle, and a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. Team Members may be exposed to standard office equipment, dealership environments, and occasional outdoor conditions while visiting partner locations.
MENTAL DEMANDS
The position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze complex loan and dealership information, and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment. The role demands strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to interpret and apply credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The incumbent must communicate effectively with internal teams, dealership partners, and members, often under time‑sensitive conditions, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. The role also requires adaptability, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to achieve organizational goals.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
2+ years of experience in sales, finance, or lending (indirect auto finance experience strongly preferred).
Knowledge of consumer lending, dealership operations, and loan underwriting processes.
Proven ability to build and maintain business relationships.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and manage territory/dealer accounts.
Proficiency in MS Office and loan origination systems; willingness to learn new systems.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (dealer travel required).
The incumbent must be able to perform in this position safely, without endangering the health or safety of the individual or others.
