Trayline and Room Service Assistant – 20 Hours
Pay Range:
$18.74 – $25.22 per hour
Job Description Essential Responsibilities:
Assemble patient meals through the At Your Service Room Service Dining system and prepare food items to par levels.
Set up service stations, maintain supplies, and ensure timely tray delivery.
Deliver patient trays to nursing desks or room service associates as needed.
Clean and sanitize workstations, counters, and equipment.
Inspect trays for completeness and place them on cart for delivery.
Brewing coffee and tea; assist patients with opening containers and answer meal‑related questions.
Track meals with a computerized scanner, retrieve soiled trays, and return them to the dish room.
Communicate special patient or nursing requests to managers or customer service representatives.
Prepare and maintain floor stock sheets, rotate and discard perishables, and keep kitchen equipment clean.
Attend safety meetings, training, and follow all safety and infection‑control policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
0‑1 year related experience.
Basic computer skills using web‑based applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Awareness of food safety principles.
Experience in a high‑volume food service environment.
Customer service experience.
Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
Compensation Base hourly wage range: $18.74–$25.22. Compensation may exceed the base rate depending on shift differentials and additional pay practices.
Other Information All staff must be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment.
