The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership who is responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store and for general operations and supervision when acting as Manager on Duty. Duties include opening and closing the Store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly shopping environment, ensuring proper merchandise presentation and a clean work area, and executing Company operational processes as needed. Essential Functions
Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments
Prioritise safety and practice safe behaviors. Maintain awareness on the sales floor, correcting or reporting unsafe conditions. Secure building entrances/exits, EAS devices, cash office, and register areas. Prevent clutter and ensure clear egress to emergency exits. Ensure customer safety, accident reporting and emergency procedures. Test fire alarm systems as scheduled. Customer Service
Treat customers, associates and leaders with respect. Demonstrate courtesy, friendliness and professionalism at all times. Recognise associates using Company recognition programs. Personal & Store Brand
Represent and support the Company brand at all times. Maintain a professional appearance following the Company Dress Code. Keep all areas clean, well‑maintained and merchandised to standard. Handle daily trash removal. General Merchandising
Ensure recovery, sizing and markdowns meet Company standards. Process all merchandise with a sense of urgency. Accept non‑merchandise inbound deliveries and ensure stockroom cleanliness. Support floor moves, promotional signing and re‑wraps. Loss Prevention
Follow the Loss Prevention Awareness Program and maintain a strong presence on the sales floor. Demonstrate integrity, safeguard confidential information and merchandise. Maintain the PVM system and conduct “Code 50” package inspections. Front End Supervision and Operations
Ensure associates follow Company front‑end standards. Maintain pace and listen to customer needs. Train associates on cash register use, shortage control and other front‑end procedures. Fitting Rooms
Maintain cleanliness and audit garment tags. Ensure go‑back compliance, scanning, tagging and ticketing. Administrative Duties Assigned by Store Manager
Conduct cash pulls and bank deposits. Manage front‑end controls and payroll administration. Competencies
Manages Work Processes Business Acumen Plans, Aligns & Prioritises Builds Talent Collaborates Leads by Example Communicates Effectively Ensures Accountability & Execution Qualifications and Special Skills
Excellent verbal communication skills. Fluency in English. Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred. Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications. Basic mathematical skills for retail. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Physical Requirements
Ability to operate all store equipment, stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stow as required. Occasionally lift >25 lb. Stockroom shifts may require lifting >20 lb. Disclaimer
