This role provides leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. You will lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business, and serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office growth objectives. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership over three tax offices and lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.

Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates and delivering an outstanding client experience.

Start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to full-time January through April, including evenings and weekends as needed. This role is in-person and not remote.

Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.

Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.

Assist the DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.

Conduct timely performance reviews and collaborate with the Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns.

Build an engaging team environment across all offices by training and coaching associates and recognizing contributions.

Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office staff.

Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management across all offices.

Travel between offices as required.

Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.

Qualifications / What you'll bring

Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industries (preferred).

Experience growing and developing associates and delivering growth plans.

Aptitude for growth culture and the ability to execute growth plans.

Strong decision-making and judgment skills; able to perform in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.

Computer proficiency with MS Office.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.

Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
