About the Position The Superior Court of Los Angeles County, the largest unified trial court in the United States, seeks dedicated and detail‑oriented Pretrial Services Evaluators. Evaluators perform investigative activities to support judicial determinations regarding pre‑arraignment release of detainees, gather and interpret criminal history information, provide 24/7/365 support for eSearchWarrant and PREP Portals, and act as a liaison between judicial officers and law enforcement agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and interpret detainee criminal history information from automated systems.

Respond to inquiries from judicial officers, law enforcement, and criminal justice partners.

Act as a liaison between judicial officers and law enforcement agencies.

Analyze social, psychological, and criminological information objectively and accurately.

Maintain confidentiality and work effectively with diverse individuals.

Minimum Requirements

Option I: Completion of 60 semester units (or 90 quarter units) in criminal justice, public administration, business administration, behavioral or social science, or related field *and* one year of office support experience in a social service, law enforcement, or criminal justice agency.

Option II: Three years of office support experience in a social service, law enforcement, or criminal justice agency.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience communicating criminal history information from automated systems.

Strong communication skills with stakeholders.

Ability to interpret data reports.

Schedule Regularly scheduled 12‑hour shifts (day: 7:00 AM‑7:00 PM; evening: 7:00 PM‑7:00 AM). Evening shifts may receive an additional pay differential. Alternate 8‑hour or hybrid shifts may be required.

Telework Full or partial telework may be available following initial on‑site training and depending on court needs.
