Shift Manager – McDonald’s (Franchise)
Job Description
This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee owns the license to use McDonald’s logos and food products. If hired, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald’s USA. Employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling are handled by the franchisee, not McDonald’s USA.
Responsibilities
Lead shifts every week, ensuring fast, accurate, friendly service.
Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift.
Plan for each shift, monitor performance, and take action to meet McDonald’s standards.
Monitor safety, security, and profitability.
Communicate with the next Shift Manager to facilitate a smooth handover.
Help assigned departments meet their goals and shift targets.
Manage daily tasks such as food safety, inventory, cleanliness, scheduling, training, and quality food production.
Required Experience / Qualifications
• Previous leadership experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with a flexible schedule and willingness to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Minimum age 18 years or older.
The following additional responsibilities may also apply: Food safety, internal communication, inventory management, daily maintenance and cleanliness, crew management, safety and security, scheduling, and training.
