Raytheon is seeking an experienced Program Management, Planning & Scheduling professional to join the Program Design & Planning organization. This position will be responsible for the development, maintenance and analysis of the Program Master Phasing Schedule and Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule – developing the network and integrated workflow of schedule activities to ensure accurate, appropriate, and effective plan is established for the scope of work. Perform analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of critical path, risk integration, IMS structure, and evaluate trends and schedule related metrics. Reviews and implements IMS coding, outlining structures and adherence to directives and department scheduling best practices. Depending upon the size and complexity of the effort, this role will be either assisting the lead scheduler / planner on a larger/more complex effort or responsible for a smaller effort. This onsite role is in a classified area in Tucson, AZ. What You Will Do
Ability to understand the program technical and programmatic solution, and partnering with the program team, lead integration of that solution into the IMS baseline plan ensuring the cost, schedule and technical requirements are fully integrated into the execution plan. Lead creation and maintenance of compliant Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) on requirements provided by the customer that achieve necessary cost and schedule integration. Lead and support the team to ensure program plan and IMS is developed consistent with IPDS and program life cycle. Review IMS planned work for accuracy, identifying missing or improperly planned work. Understand, can create, use and recommend appropriate alternative/supplemental program mgmt. plans/artifacts (HUM, MPS, First Unit Flow) to help the program team understand and manage to the plan. Conduct and explain Schedule Risk Analysis results to program teams; interpret SRA results and integrate mitigation plans into the IMS and schedule risks into the Risk Management process with support from a Schedule Risk Analysis SME. Provide weekly and monthly planning metrics on schedule status, baseline maintenance, critical path analysis, schedule variance analysis and network logic validation, using Earned Value Management System processes. Mentor and train junior planners. Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 8 years of Program Planning or Scheduling or Project Management experience (or an Advanced Degree with at least 5 years’ experience). Experience using scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan, or similar). Experience developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and evaluating critical path and/or workflow. Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process. Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS). Ability to facilitate integration and maintenance of IMS including technical, schedule and cost in an EVMS environment. Ability to understand program technical and programmatic solutions and lead integration and modelling into the IMS. Ability to interpret SRA results, schedule risk drivers and probability of success. Collaboration with Planning and SMEs to support program teams. Understanding of hardware/software development life cycle; exposure to agile methodologies. Experience in scheduling and EVMS techniques for teams of varying size; ability to drive process improvement. Previous project management experience and/or project management certification. Familiarity with APEX financial systems; experience with Cost Estimating/BOE generation. What We Offer
