Overview
MAINTENANCE MANAGER. We are looking for a Maintenance Manager, preferably with a background in plastics manufacturing such as molding, extrusion, thermoforming, blow molding, extrusion, etc. A strong manager with no plastics background will be considered if they demonstrate a proven ability to lead, multi-task, and drive department success. This role is responsible for maintenance in the plant, including preventative maintenance. The organization is growing, profitable, and well-funded, with a focus on customer service and employee development. The GM is located at another facility. The manager will mentor staff and be involved without micro-managing. Base pay range

Ensure safety is paramount in the Maintenance Area and promote a safety-focused culture across all departments. Ensure appropriate staffing and foster a Team atmosphere within the Maintenance department. Provide leadership and mentoring to maintenance leads, technicians, and sub-contractors to achieve maintenance objectives. Assist Maintenance Technicians in troubleshooting, implementing solutions, and solving problems with the team. Create and review SOPs and Preventive/Predictive Maintenance Plans. Monitor daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; manage performance to budget, including spare parts, purchases, and costs. Prepare and manage annual budgets and maintenance capital expenditures within financial constraints. Manage vendor/contractor proposals, expenditures, and work performed. Oversee training, staffing, and development of Maintenance department personnel. Develop and review goals/targets and provide annual performance appraisals for maintenance staff. Manage spare parts inventory and CMMS processes; review and approve capital equipment and plant change specifications. Minimum qualifications
Degree or 10-15 years of Maintenance Management experience. Hands-on maintenance experience in: Electrical systems (drives, servos, motors, plant electrical, switchgear, control panels). Troubleshooting electronics (overview of PLCs, sensors) — no programming. Troubleshooting automation (robotics and automated assembly) — no programming. Grounds maintenance (Lawn/Landscape, parking areas, lighting). 5 years of supervision/management experience with strong training, coaching/mentoring skills. Strong knowledge of Preventative and Predictive Maintenance. Hands-on leader who works with technicians to troubleshoot and achieve goals. Professional manager with outstanding team-building skills. Key requirements
Strong managerial capabilities preferred; plastics experience is a plus but not required. CMMS experience; familiarity with rollout is a plus. Excellent training ability; ability to delegate and optimize team performance; coordinate with schedulers and purchasing. Degree is preferred, but demonstrated professional experience is valued.
