Job Description Business Development Specialist – Managed Service Provider (MSP)

A newly created role with a fast-growing, niche-focused Managed Service Provider based in Dallas.

Reporting directly to the C-Level this is a high-impact individual contributor position designed for someone who thrives on expanding client bases, driving new business, and scaling service offerings

What You’ll Do

Act as a

growth catalyst

by identifying, engaging, and converting new Managed Service Provider Business clients.

Generate leads

through cold outreach, networking, and digital campaigns.

Close Deals:

Pitch, Present, Answer-Overcome objections, Demonstrate-Explain, Re-Assure, Build Rapport, negotiate terms, and Close new business clients.

Own the sales cycle

from prospecting to closing, including onboarding and discovery.

Collaborate cross-functionally to

enhance service offerings

and support strategic expansion.

Leverage modern tools (SEO, digital marketing, AI, CRM platforms) to optimize outreach.

Present

metrics-driven insights

including KPIs, forecasts, and client growth reports.

Contribute to

business scaling initiatives

into related or similar industry targets.

Desired Skills/Experience

Recent experience at a small or mid-sized MSP where you directly contributed to client growth.

Proven success in

selling and expanding MSP services

—you’ve brought in new business before.

Passion for

sales, marketing, and client engagement

with a strong work ethic.

Excellent

written and verbal communication

skills; charismatic and persuasive.

Familiarity with

client onboarding , lead qualification, and discovery processes.

Comfort with

tech-sales tools

and digital marketing platforms.

Experience presenting

data-backed performance reports

to external clients and internal stakeholders

Pluses

Exposure to MSPs serving industrial sectors like manufacturing, oil/gas, building services, facilities or logistics.

Sales-Side Knowledge of (or experience with) MicroSoft and Cisco LAN/WAN and Security Technologies.

A strong local/Dallas area professional network — contacts, clients, or industry groups you can tap into.

Experience testing and launching new MSP service offerings.

A College Degree in a technical or engineering field.
