General Functions Provides excellent customer service to attendees of the Orange County Convention Center by managing the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic upon the campus. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Assistant Transportation Supervisor and/or designated operational lead. Representative Duties/Assignments
Places/operates traffic equipment such as cones, barricades, portable-changeable message signs, arrow boards, etc. Directs traffic to appropriate lanes on OCCC property and maintains positive traffic circulation. Operates pick-up/drop-off zones efficiently per standard operating procedure. Ensures the safety of pedestrians by balancing the flow of pedestrians and vehicles at crosswalks. Escalates observed traffic problems to supervisors. Creates a friendly and courteous environment by interacting and engaging guests. Maintains general knowledge of the OCCC campus and current events. Meets Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards. May cross-train in other Transportation Section on-call positions. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Must be able to complete OCCC Golf & Utility Cart Training. Must be able to complete Orange County Driver Education Training. Preferences
Knowledge of convention center operations. Experience directing traffic or parking. FDOT Basic Flagger Training or equivalent. Application Details
