Position Summary
As a key member of Walmart's Optical team, the Sr. Director of Optical Omni Experience leads the design and delivery of a seamless, connected experience for customers and associates across all digital and physical touchpoints – including app, web, telehealth, and in-store interactions. The role provides technical leadership and innovation oversight across the optical ecosystem, including AI integration, system connectivity, and device enablement within Vision Centers. The position is located in Bentonville, AR and reports to the Vice President of Optical for Walmart U.S.
What You'll Do
Lead the design and delivery of an integrated optical experience that connects customers and associates across all channels—digital (app, web), telehealth, and in-store—ensuring a consistent, frictionless journey.
Provide technical leadership for the Optical organization, guiding the development and integration of systems, devices, and digital platforms that enhance the customer and associate experience.
Champion user‑centered design, partnering with UX, product, and engineering teams to deliver intuitive, accessible, and connected digital experiences that reflect the Optical brand promise.
Drive innovation through AI and automation, collaborating with enterprise technology teams to embed intelligent systems that improve personalization, streamline workflows, and optimize clinical and retail operations.
What You'll Bring
Proven track record leading omni‑channel strategies that unify digital, telehealth, and in‑store experiences to deliver a seamless customer journey.
Deep understanding of customer experience design, journey mapping, and service integration across retail and healthcare settings.
Strong background in technology leadership, with hands‑on experience guiding digital product development and system integration.
Knowledge of emerging technologies relevant to optical retail and healthcare delivery, including telehealth, connected devices, and digital diagnostics.
Experience developing and executing end‑to‑end digital transformation roadmaps that align technology, operations, and clinical services.
Proven success partnering with product management, engineering, and UX teams to deliver cohesive omni‑channel solutions at scale.
Experience with leading cross‑functional collaboration across technology, operations, merchandising, and clinical teams to deliver unified business outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field and 6 years’ experience in engineering, project management, supply chain, operations management, or related field (or 10 years of experience).
4 years of supervisory experience.
2 years of experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
Corporate Strategy, Innovations, working on cross‑functional teams or projects.
