A Post-doctoral associate in molecular biology, NGS sequencing, bioinformatics, nanopore sequencing is available under the supervision of Dr. Feng Tang in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Florida (UF) in Gainesville, FL. Leveraging Sequencing and Proteomics techniques to study how DNA damage induced by environmental exposure and endogenous metabolism contribute to cancer and aging related diseases.
The position will be initially awarded for one year and may be renewed for up to three years based on performance and availability of funds.
Expected Salary:

Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Chemistry/Biology or closely related field
Ability to work independently and in a team
Ability to take initiatives, set priorities, time-manage, and resolve problems
Preferred Qualifications
Strong background in molecular biology, NGS sequencing, bioinformatics, nanopore sequencing, etc.
A strong track record of publications would be an asset
