Veterinary Client Service Representative

South Baton Rouge Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced Client Service Representative to join our INCREDIBLE team. As a Client Service Representative (CSR), you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing care for our patients while coordinating and representing all facets of client services. Our CSRs are friendly, professional, courteous, and show urgency and appropriate concern at all times. They must be efficient in handling difficult situations and skilled at basic accounting and cash handling.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets, assist new clients with registration, and communicate expected wait times.
Educate clients and answer non-medical inquiries.
Maintain client relationships and service standards; respond to phone calls, take messages, and transfer calls as needed; monitor email and faxes.
Schedule appointments, coordinate in-office diagnostics, access patient records, create appointment reminders, and reschedule missed appointments.
Maintain up-to-date computer records for clients and patients; verify patients entering the hospital.
Keep front desk, reception area, waiting areas, and exam rooms neat and clean.
Ensure financial responsibilities are met; review charges, reconcile cash drawer with reports.
Mentor and support fellow team members.
Qualifications
Friendly, outgoing personality with a love for pets and people; positive attitude.
Client service experience and 1 year experience in veterinary medicine preferred.
Strong communication skills; team-oriented with collaboration.
Excellent multi-tasking abilities.
Availability to work rotating weekends and certain holidays.
Desire to practice empathetic, gold-standard medicine for patients.
Polite, trustworthy communication with patients, team members, and clients.
Desire to grow and advance as a valued team member.
