The Business Office Coordinator is responsible for supporting Business Office functions for the entire Athletics Business Office. Reporting to the Senior Associate AD/Business and Finance, plans, coordinates and performs complex business and administrative activities associated with the fiscal management of the Athletics Department, budget exceeding $200 million. Will handle various business office administrative tasks as assigned to include managing office supplies, printing requests, inventory control, bulk mail accounts, UPS/Fedex online system, purchasing and accounts payable functions within the athletics department. Receives and directs visitors, staff, and students with general information within the department. Assists in managing plane operations, legal correspondence/FOIA requests, meetings, and other tasks as assigned.

Advertised Salary $45,133 - salary commensurate with experience

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. Some knowledge of university financial practices/procedures is ideal.

Excellent organizational and accounting skills with the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize multiple tasks, and coordinate a variety of business and administrative functions.

Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and reports.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and financial systems preferred.

Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidential information.

Ability to establish positive working relationships with coaches, staff, and other University personnel.
