The University of South Carolina Athletics Department is seeking a Business Office Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting office functions for the entire Athletics Business Office. Reporting to the Senior Associate AD/Business and Finance, the coordinator will plan, coordinate, and perform complex business and administrative activities associated with the fiscal management of the Athletics Department, with a budget exceeding $200 million. The role will handle various business office administrative tasks such as managing office supplies, printing requests, inventory control, bulk mail accounts, UPS/FedEx online system, purchasing, and accounts payable functions within the athletics department. The coordinator will receive and direct visitors, staff, and students with general information within the department, assist in managing plane operations, legal correspondence/FOIA requests, meetings, and other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and perform complex business and administrative activities associated with fiscal management of the Athletics Department.

Manage office supplies, printing requests, and inventory control.

Oversee bulk mail accounts and UPS/FedEx online system.

Assist with purchasing and accounts payable functions.

Receive and direct visitors, staff, and students with general information.

Assist in managing plane operations, legal correspondence/FOIA requests, meetings, and other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job-related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job-related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. Some knowledge of university financial practices/procedures is ideal.
