Responsibilities
Provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. Serve as front-line manager to develop tax office associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives. Act as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates; advance your own knowledge and skills. Lead daily activities to ensure all work is completed on time with attention to quality, priorities, and goals. Train and coach associates to execute Service Standards, recognizing outstanding contributions. Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information; create associate work schedules and manage timekeeping/overtime. Prepare tax returns as required and conduct timely performance reviews in collaboration with the Associate Relations Center to address issues. Qualifications
Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industries (preferred). 2+ years as a Tax Professional. Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or similar roles; experience supervising or managing people. Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns). Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and state requirements; computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently. High school diploma or equivalent (or higher); flexible work schedule and adaptability to business needs. Pay and Benefits
Pay range: $15.00 - $65.00/hr (local minimum wage laws apply; final decisions depend on experience, education, skill, performance, and location).
