Posted Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 5:00 AM The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical maintenance background related to heavy manufacturing. This position will work rotating shifts. Responsibilities
Perform the essential functions of a millwright with extensive welding applications Perform basic maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems in an industrial environment Perform basic plumbing and pipefitting skills (i.e., structural repairs to buildings, platforms, machinery, utility piping and structures at times in elevated positions) Perform maintenance engineering functions and repairs for all plant mechanical equipment Possess basic knowledge of industrial electricity and understanding of how PLCs interact with hydraulic systems and operators Install modifications to existing equipment as required Work in a team-oriented facility Assist in the development of solutions to operating problems and improvements to the processes as required Perform administrative tasks as may be assigned from time to time Qualifications: Education and Experience
Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent GED or HSE Preferred Education: Associates degree or certificate in mechanical or electrical field Required Experience: Strong mechanical background Minimum of 2 years of heavy industrial experience Preferred Experience: Heavy industry mechanical experience with basic PLC/electrical understanding Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Pass Stick overhead 3G welding test Minimum Microsoft Office suite computer skills Working conditions
The employee will frequently be required to: Sit, walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Reach above shoulder level and below waist level Use both hands for grasping, fingering, gripping and feeling textures and temperatures Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds Perform repetitive tasks for extended periods The employee will occasionally be required to: Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds The position requires the following vision and hearing capabilities: Close, distance and peripheral vision Depth perception and the ability to adjust focus Hearing in person, on the phone, and/or in group settings The employee will work in the following conditions: Extreme hot and cold conditions Wet and humid conditions Amid fumes, dust, dirt, and smoke In confined areas, heights/high places and around equipment in motion Near moving parts of heavy machinery and high voltage equipment While wearing personal protective / safety equipment to prevent injury from noise and environmental hazards Position is full time, hourly and is eligible for overtime Works rotating 12-hour swing shifts – days/nights, alternating weekends, some holidays and overtime Benefits
