GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice-President of Nursing, the Clinical Dietitian plans, directs, and provides nutritional care to patients, including inpatients and potentially outpatients. The Clinical Dietitian should demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care for patients from adolescence to geriatrics, including assessing patient data, interpreting information, and delivering care as per policies and procedures. Supervision and Reporting
Type of supervision: Team Leader. Reports to: Diet Technician and Diet Clerk. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics from an accredited institution; advanced degree preferred. One year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Registered by the American Dietetic Association and licensed as a Dietitian in Pennsylvania. Clearance from PA State Police and Child Abuse Registry. Skills and Physical Demands
Good communication and interpersonal skills required. The role involves sedentary work with the ability to transport within the facility. No unusual health hazards are associated with this position.
