Position Highlights

Sign‑on Bonus:

$15,000 (eligible)

Shift Schedule:

Full time days or nights, 7am‑7pm or 7pm‑7am, with weekend rotation

Residency Program

6‑month New Graduate RN residency supports transition to practice in five medical centers.

Live specialty‑track clinical academies and monthly transition‑to‑practice workshops.

Mentoring, clinical discussions, and individualized guidance from the Nurse Residency Coordinator.

Qualifications

BSN preferred; accredited School of Nursing graduate

Registered Nurse licensure, State of North Carolina

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year for Adult Critical Care, Adult ED

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year for Network ED, Peds ED, PICU and NICU, and other areas per unit guidelines

Ability to provide direct and indirect patient care

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively

Impact Patient Care – Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver compassionate, patient‑centered care.

Conduct thorough assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan interventions, and coordinate care.

Participate in multidisciplinary discharge planning and referrals to community resources.

Create a safe, healing environment, safeguarding privacy and promoting respectful behavior.

Demonstrate excellent communication to foster collaboration among the healthcare team.

Act as patient advocate throughout the continuum of care.

Coordinate effective delivery of patient care services applying care‑management principles.

Perform and maintain competency for point‑of‑care testing as assigned.

Promote a healthy work environment through participation in shared governance and professional growth activities.

Work Environment

Ability to tolerate moderate to high stress levels.

Occasional crowded conditions, moderate noise, emergency or crisis situations.

Regular exposure to risk of blood‑borne diseases and infections.

Contact with patients, families, community members, medical staff; required PPE.

Handles absentee replacement on short notice.
