Solar Technician

with experience in Balance of Plant (BOP) electrical systems and grid-scale PV systems. Technicians will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting PV systems, and executing electrical repairs. This is a site-based position with travel within a 60-minute drive of a CAMS-managed PV and Thermal Power facility. Technicians will have access to Remote Operations Center (ROC) tools and will support site operations, including rotational night shift work for PV maintenance. Strong work ethic, effective communication, and thorough documentation skills are essential. Safety is a top priority at CAMS, and this role requires proactive leadership in implementing Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) programs. Reports To:

Goody Sr. Solar Site Technician. This role reports to the Sr. Solar Site Technician to ensure proper outfitting, training, and capability to complete tasks. The Director will ensure the Sr Technician has all CAMS processes and procedures to be successful. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform all work safely and in compliance with company safety policies. Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on PV systems and components. Fully utilize CAMS’ work order system for all maintenance activities. Replace/install hardware, inverters, monitoring equipment, and other site components. Perform electrical testing using appropriate PPE and safety protocols. Prepare reports to meet O&M contract deliverables. Support maintenance tasks with minimal supervision. Attend manufacturer-approved training sessions as required. Use company-provided equipment and resources according to guidelines. Maintain adherence to company policies, EHS standards, and housekeeping practices. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Travel overnight up to 10%. Requirements

Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics, technical manuals, and regulations. Experience in PV installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting preferred (related experience considered). Minimum of 2 years of electrical knowledge/training. Strong organizational, communication, analytical, planning, and customer service skills. Professional communication with internal teams, customers, and local stakeholders. Flexible, self-disciplined, and high integrity. Available for weekend work and on-call emergencies. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Certifications: NFPA 70e, Substation Level I & II, First Aid/CPR. Ability to certify in thermal imaging within 12 months. Physically able to: Lift objects over 10 lbs; climb stairs and ladders; work outdoors in extreme weather; navigate uneven terrain and confined spaces; wear required PPE. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SMA Power PCS Inverters and NEXTracker. Manufacturer training certifications in PV and PCS systems. Experience commissioning equipment and performing HV/MV switching and substation work. Certified in thermal imaging and analysis. Familiarity with remote monitoring platforms such as Fractal and Indie. Summary

The salary range is commensurate with experience and location. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications. This range represents base salary and does not include other compensation such as bonuses, benefits, or equity.
