Speech Therapist - Apache Junction (Healthcare) Evaluate patients within twenty-four (24) hours, or 1 business day of physician referral. If unable to complete evaluation in 24 hours, documentation in medical record must clearly define the cause for delay. Develop an effective treatment plan and obtain approval for services from the referring physician. Treat patients according to the physician's treatment plan. Supervise Speech Language Pathologist Assistants in direct patient care and related activities, following state practice act regulations. Communicate with supervisors and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, issues, and plans. Participate in Patient Care Conferences, Utilization Review meetings, and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed. Provide in-service training for staff in the facility. Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, recertification documentation, as per Speech and Language Pathologist guidelines and regulatory requirements. Record treatment changes according to policies and procedures. Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services. Participate in discharge planning. Act as a clinical preceptor for CFY/RFP Speech Language Pathologists and student programs. Comply with the Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Bureau State Practice Act, facility policies, and procedures. Maintain positive, effective, and appropriate relationships with patients, families, staff, and colleagues. Supervisory Requirements:

Supervise CFY - Speech Clinical Fellows and assist nursing staff with training Restorative Aides. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology; Master's or Doctorate preferred. Proficient in computer skills, including programs like Casamba and Point Click Care. Language Skills:

Ability to read technical procedures, policies, and respond effectively to questions from management, coworkers, and families. Mathematical Skills:

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats. Licenses and Certifications:

Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state; must meet continuing education requirements and maintain licensure in good standing. Physical Demands:

Frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling; occasional lifting over 20 pounds; occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Work Environment:
