Engineering Manager Role Overview
The Maintenance & Machining Supervisor contributes to the success of the plant by providing day-to-day maintenance leadership and technical support to the Maintenance and Machine shop crews. In this role, you will lead a team of frontline employees within the maintenance department (mechanics/machinists). What You’ll Do
Ensure equipment reliability to maximize line productivity Identify gaps in team knowledge and skills and implement controls to track and improve maintenance and technician capability Track standard maintenance metrics and prioritize plant maintenance opportunities; MTBF, MTTR, PM completion, corrective work completion Ensure proper utilization of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Develop a team to oversee day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals Communicate maintenance plans and status across department lines and collaborate cross-functionally to solve maintenance issues and gather resources for support Build team capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel Motivate team members to achieve plan goals and drive performance through KPIs and team evaluations Operate with hands-on proficiency in a machine shop (manual lathes/mills, band saws, drill presses, surface grinders, and basic CNC ops) Administer policies and procedures Prioritize day-to-day work requests and coordinate with the Planner to adjust as needed Regularly present on the plant floor; lifting to 50 lbs. occasionally; may operate forklift and manufacturing equipment occasionally Occasional work in poor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, or snow) Serve as the technical expert, coach, and resource for maintenance personnel; follow established safety guidelines and work to prevent safety incidents Support plant and manufacturing goals; keep management informed of progress and obstacles Occasional off-shift and weekend work; some travel (

Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies including the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy Ensure all duties related to product compliance are adhered to per Product Compliance Policy, laws, regulations, and market demands Responsible for tasks to achieve compliance goals within the Compliance Management System Raise compliance concerns with supervisor, manager, or Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistleblower service What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree, US military service, or equivalent experience; preferred in Engineering, Maintenance, Hydraulics, Machining, Electrical trades, or similar 3+ years supervision experience supporting maintenance or operations 5+ years experience in preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance Strong leadership skills to build and sustain results, coach and mentor others Clear and concise communication, both oral and written Technical leadership capability Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting methodology Ability to build cross-functional relationships Ability to read/interpret prints, set tolerances, and select/verify tooling Competency
Experience in mechanical, electrical, or engineering fields; proactive maintenance mindset Ability to bring order and achieve results with minimal supervision Mechanical equipment maintenance experience Understanding of PLC programming and ladder logic NIMS or equivalent machining certifications; exposure to G-code edits and CAM for simple ops Employee Benefits
