Responsibilities The Production Supervisor oversees all finished product production under the direction of the Operations Excellence Production Manager. Key responsibilities include:

Review daily Process Lead documentation and address mechanical problems.

Confirm production run schedules, code dates, and packaging throughout the shift.

Complete Pre‑Flight, Pre‑Operational, and Shut‑Down Inspections at required start‑up and shut‑down events.

Plan daily activities and walk the bakery to identify cleanliness, equipment guarding, GMP compliance, fire exit accessibility, labeling, and safe productivity.

Monitor dough temperatures, water temperatures, mix times, and control point recordings.

Observe dough development for proper gluten window and manage Pan‑O‑Mat operations, ensuring correct dough ball counts, vacuum points, flour dusting, weights, and divider speed.

Verify topping, seeder hopper readiness, oven panel controls, product internal temperatures (target 202°F), air jet positioning, and depanner settings.

Maintain metal detector effectiveness every four hours and oversee wrap area operations, bagger speeds, vacuum integrity, packaging codes, QC checks, pattern former placement, basket loader smoothness, and tray stacker operation.

Secure shipping docks and compactor room access, lock doors, and complete production documentation: daily logs, disciplinary records, weekly schedule reviews, pre‑shift meetings, payroll adjustments, yield accuracy, waste reconciliation, broken blade handling, shift report breakdown events, and incoming flour delivery verification.

Complete all required bulk flour delivery documentation and perform any other tasks assigned by the Management Team.

Preferred Certifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or operations management.

At least five (5) years of food manufacturing supervision experience.

Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
