Overview Diesel Technician / Mechanic position with NFI. Schedule: Monday-Friday 7 AM – 3:30 PM. Pay: $35 per hour – $38 per hour, determined by experience and certifications.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a Diesel Technician / Mechanic will include, but are not limited to:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical tractor and trailer-related issues using standard testing procedures and computer diagnostic equipment such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, Multimeters, and Windows

Performance preventive maintenance on our fleet of tractors & trailers

Perform DOT inspection per FMSCA guidelines

Physically capable to perform all job duties, including lifting and/or pulling 75 lbs or more, standing or lying for extended periods, and flexible movement to reach equipment

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license

Preferred ability to obtain a Class B license

Technical or advanced degree or 3-5 years of equivalent maintenance experience

Familiarity with troubleshooting equipment repairs and maintenance with diagnostic tools and equipment such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, Multimeters, and Windows

Successfully demonstrated problem-solving skills

Examples of teamwork and customer service skills, including good oral and written communication skills

On-site evaluation with recommended training
