Fabricate, assemble, and fit dies, jigs, fixtures, and tooling for stamping processes, including progressive dies.

Perform die try‑outs and troubleshoot issues during press operation; conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on progressive stamping dies.

Measure and inspect parts and tooling using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Document tooling maintenance records, report needed repairs, and assist production with tooling issues.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized tool room environment and follow all relevant safety protocols.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or tool & die apprenticeship preferred.

Minimum 2-5 years of experience making and maintaining progressive stamping dies; experience with carbide dies is a plus.

Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and CAD/CAM drawings.

Skilled with machine tools (manual and CNC) and strong manual dexterity for grinding, fitting, shimming, and assembly.

Solid background in metalworking, heat treatment, and metal stamping principles.

Strong problem‑solving skills; able to diagnose die issues in‑press or at the bench.

Ability to lift heavy die sets, work standing, and maintain focus under tight tolerances.

Excellent communication, record‑keeping, and teamwork skills.
