We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented tool and die maker to support precision manufacturing operations by building, modifying, and maintaining tooling and dies for high-performance production environments. This is a critical hands-on role responsible for ensuring tooling accuracy, efficiency, and reliability in alignment with operational goals and quality standards.
Position Responsibilities
Tool and Die Fabrication
Construct, repair, and maintain a variety of precision tools, dies, and fixtures based on blueprints and technical specifications Operate a range of manual and CNC equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM machines to achieve tight tolerances Ensure tool components are produced to exact dimensions and functional requirements Preventive Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of tools and dies to prevent production downtime Diagnose and resolve issues with dies and tooling during manufacturing runs Modify existing tools and dies as needed to accommodate changes in product design or process improvements Quality Control & Documentation
Verify finished tools meet quality standards through detailed inspection and measurement Maintain accurate records of tool changes, repairs, and maintenance activities Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives Prerequisites
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a tool and die maker in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of metalworking techniques and tooling materials Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications Experience operating both manual and CNC machining equipment High attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving ability Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
Journeyman Tool and Die Maker Certification CNC Machining or Precision Manufacturing certifications OSHA safety training or equivalent What the Role Offers
