Position Summary
The Walmart Marketplace is a curated community of respected, professional sellers who offer only top‑quality, authentic products and best‑in‑class customer service. The Manager, Business Development will be responsible for recruiting and launching our next generation of Marketplace sellers. You will work closely with category seller growth teams to assess market opportunities, competitive trends and develop acquisition strategies to attract new accounts and expand assortment.
What you’ll do
Recruit top eCommerce marketplace sellers via sourcing, prospecting, and cold‑calling.
Manage the business development lifecycle from sourcing to transactability, ensuring new sellers are fully equipped for immediate success.
Develop acquisition strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth and expand inventory.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of successful sales/business development experience, preferably in e‑commerce, marketplace or retail tech.
Experience managing a business development pipeline and utilizing a CRM such as Salesforce.
Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold‑calling companies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with eCommerce used and refurbished sellers.
Track record of developing and closing high‑impact deals in 3P marketplace.
