Business Development Manager _ Industrial Join Tata Consultancy Services as a Business Development Manager for our Industrial segment. In this role you will drive business growth for customers in the Industrial Machinery, Heavy Engineering, Construction Equipment, Agriculture & Farm Machinery, and Industrial Machinery & Supplies sectors. Your responsibilities include developing revenue-generating relationships with CxO‑level executives, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution, and acting as the single point of contact for high‑value accounts. You will collaborate across product engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and sustainability teams to deliver integrated solutions and maximize client value.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, sell, and manage engineering, manufacturing, and IoT solutions and services across industrial machinery customers.

Drive pipeline development and manage sales cycles to closure, contributing to revenue growth and market expansion.

Work with regional sales teams to acquire new logos for TCS IoT & Digital Engineering business.

Provide domain expertise to shape solutions, create proposals, and articulate value to customers.

Conduct market analysis and lead business planning and strategic sales activities.

Engage in the marketplace to raise awareness of our IoT & engineering solutions through trade shows, thought leadership, roadshows, and workshops.

Build long‑term partnerships with senior client executives, IT & business leaders, and procurement stakeholders.

Maintain account maps, identify high‑potential opportunities, and strategize go‑to‑market plans with technical and sales leadership.

Monitor account performance, lead business reviews, and support relationship management to expand service footprint.

Represent the company at industry events and build visibility through client engagements.

Must‑Have Skills

Strong domain experience in the industrial machinery segment.

Proven sales and client relationship experience in the US region.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, MBA, or related field with 15+ years of experience.

At least 5+ years of business development experience in shaping and selling large‑scale technology solutions.

Deep domain knowledge of industrial machinery customers.

Experience positioning offerings, developing proposals, value propositions, and complex deal structuring.

Strong technical skills and consultative selling approach.

Ability to understand market/customer needs and collaborate with solution teams to develop innovative solutions.

Salary Range $150,000 – $174,000 per year.
