Responsibilities Lead field-based assessment of sorption studies and monitor water quality and weather data.

Coordinate and conduct routine water quality monitoring at the study site and facilitate lab analyses for nutrients and suspended solids, including data interpretation.

Perform geostatistical assessment of the treatment technology based on water quality data.

Assess costs per pound (lb) TP/TN removal for the technology.

Mentor undergraduate and graduate students; participate in studying hypotheses, analyzing results, and writing reports/manuscripts; assist in grant proposal applications.

Travel to potential field locations and attend stakeholder meetings; conduct independent field work in hot, humid conditions.

Qualifications A PhD (foreign equivalent acceptable) in Agricultural & Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences/Engineering, Nutrient Management, Water Quality, or any related field is required.

Candidates must be supportive of the mission of the Land-Grant system.

General understanding of Lake Okeechobee, Florida ecosystems (specific to wetlands). Hydrologic modeling and geospatial assessment tools.
