Position Overview We are seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer who will specialize in Modeling and Simulation of complex technical solutions. This role joins a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles and Fire Control.

Responsibilities

Design and document model and simulation requirements and architecture.

Develop, verify, and validate complex models and simulations such as 6‑degree‑of‑freedom missile simulations and effects‑based simulations.

Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements.

Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities.

Support ground and flight test efforts, including Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop (HWIL) activities.

Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers.

Basic Qualifications

Post‑secondary STEM degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.

U.S. citizen required; government security clearance necessary (Active Secret clearance required).

Fundamental proficiency in C++.

Proficient in MATLAB or Python.

Demonstrated ability to perform GNC or Modeling and Simulation assignments, including:

Developing and analyzing guidance and navigation algorithms.

Developing and/or verifying complex vehicle models and simulations.

Strong math skills in linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformations.

Desired Skills

Proficiency with Python and Linux.

Experience with Agile development.

Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and software version control (Git).

Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Location & Relocation This position is in Dallas, Texas. Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position.

Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold an Active Secret clearance.

Work Schedules Schedule: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week. We support a variety of alternate work schedules for additional flexibility.
