San Bernardino County

is recruiting Radiologic Technologists who perform radiographic procedures using x-rays to produce images for the diagnosis of pathological and traumatic disorders. Radiologic Technologists move and position patients, perform radiographic examinations, and instruct/direct Radiologic Technologist Trainees and students in equipment use and procedures.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Located on a 70-acre campus in Colton, California, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed teaching hospital licensed by the California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties, a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center, and a behavioral health center. ARMC operates five primary care clinics and over 40 specialty services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the nearby California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Shift Availability:

ARMC is a 24-hour facility; indicate shift availability in the supplemental questionnaire. Shift differentials are provided.

Pre-Employment Process:

Background investigation, physical, and verification of employment history and education are required for selected applicants.

Licensure/Certifications:

Incumbents must possess and maintain licenses as required by their classification. A State Fluoroscopy license must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS & LICENSES

State of California, Department of Public Health Radiologic Technologist Certification

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support

Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

OPTION 1:

Two (2) years of experience in a hospital or medical institution as a registered x-ray technologist.

OPTION 2:

Completion of the ARMC Radiologic Technology Program and one (1) year of post-certificate experience as a registered x-ray technologist.

ARMC Graduates:

If applying as a graduate of the ARMC Radiologic Technology Program (Option 2), provide proof of graduation (degree or transcripts). Job offers may be contingent upon obtaining all required certifications.
