Job Summary:
This person will coordinate and lead comprehensive Hydrologic and Hydraulic design projects in collaboration with Project Managers on both public and private projects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Demonstrate strong hydrology capabilities, including:
Defining and facilitating project scope, goals, and deliverables to project managers
Preparing various submittals to FEMA
Performing hydrologic/hydraulic modeling using software accepted by FEMA and USACE such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-GeoRAS, HPSWMM, Civil3D, AutoCAD, ArcGIS
Managing the delivery of hydrology projects from conception to completion
Reviewing plans, specifications, and work products before submission to clients or public entities
Ensuring accurate and timely communication with Project Managers
Maintaining current industry knowledge and practices
Overseeing and mentoring a team of hydrologists, technicians, analysts, and professionals
Qualifications and Skills:
Effective communication with project managers
Prompt responses to calls and emails, ideally within 24 hours
Leading by example in punctuality and professionalism
Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
Ability to meet internal and client deadlines
Team building and collaborative skills
Managing staff through project assignments and professional development
