Biology (Anatomy and Physiology) Adjunct – Virginia's Community College System, Germanna Community College Germanna Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. It serves residents of the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Caroline, Culpeper, King George, Madison, Orange, Spotsylvania and Stafford. Adjunct faculty teach in the designated discipline to students from diverse academic backgrounds and experiences, and may teach both in-person and online. Role Details
Working Title: Biology (Anatomy and Physiology) Adjunct Role Title: Biology (Anatomy and Physiology) Adjunct Location: Spotsylvania - 177, Virginia Employment Type: Part Time Schedule: Hours will vary between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm depending on availability and scheduling needs. Telework options are subject to change based on business needs. Responsibilities
Teach specific classes in the designated discipline. Develop course syllabi and instructional materials. Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress. Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of GCC and the VCCS. Maintain current competence in the particular discipline or field of specialization. Essential Functions
Meet assigned classes regularly; submit required records and reports; teach prescribed courses with established texts; adhere to professional ethics per College policies, procedures, and regulations. Application Process

KSA's/Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in Biology (Anatomy and Physiology). Ability to effectively teach in-person classrooms and online. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent oral/written communication skills. Ability to use instructional technology. Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools. Additional Considerations
Prior teaching experience. Work experience in the field. Experience with online teaching, including synchronous and asynchronous formats at a regionally accredited institution. Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools. Other Details
