WIELAND’s Superintendents are expected to take ownership and drive a schedule to produce a successful project. They will provide overall onsite management for the safe and timely completion of the project while maintaining the budget.
Job Functions
Collaborate with project team weekly to develop and maintain schedule, including a 3-4 week look ahead and hold subcontractors accountable in meeting the schedule. Prepare daily reportswithin thecurrentsoftware systemwith detail and accuracy. Schedule inspectionsfrom authority having jurisdiction to ensure the project stays within the schedule. Provide oversight and leadership to subcontractors on site. Adhere and enforce the safety and cleanliness of the jobsite. Maintain document control of all critical information under your responsibility including insurance and contract documentation. Ensure all sub-trades, workers, and suppliers perform according to contract provisions, specifications, and drawings. Recognize future problems, perform research, and propose preventative action. Monitor and walk the jobsite daily to ensure compliance with current corporate safety standards. Develop relationships with Owners, Subcontractors, and the Design Team. Notify project team of any potential risks and assist in preparingacontingencyplan. Ensure accuracy of project documentation within WIELAND’s current software system. Daily coordination and supervision of sub-trades, workers, and suppliers. Ensure all sub-trades, workers, and suppliers perform according to contract provisions and drawing specifications. Maintain a photo library of project progress within the current software system, that is easily accessible and understandable. Directweekly or dailyjobsite coordinationmeetings depending on project demandsandensuring meeting minutes are tracked. Planall fieldoperations in a timely manner. Update the project schedule within a timely manner. Ability to develop familiarity with site requirements, material and full range of trade division. Understand and verify materials, procedures and installation are being performed as required by contract documents. Hold punch list meetings with subcontractors and complete in an appropriate amount of time. Ability to anticipateand prioritizecomplications and create a plan to reachasolution. Recognize future problems and propose to implement preventative action. Communicate positively and effectively with other companies and departments. Ability to receive methods for improvement or constructive criticism. Actively lead by example and champion diversity in everyday actions and decisions. Respect differences and similarities; listen and take the time to understand viewpoints of others. Maintains and displays company values and culture. Flexibility to travel as projects demand. Qualifications
5 years of experience as a superintendent or lead foreman in the construction industry. Strong leadership skills. Procore experience, preferred. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills. Ability to understand and use technology in the field.
