Job Title
LSU Health New Orleans Division of Facility Services – Electrician
Compensation Starting rate $19.67 per hour plus $1 Longevity Pay. Pay may be adjusted based on qualifications.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, alter, and repair electrical wiring (underground and above ground), conduit, light fixtures, power appliances, and electrical controls.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
Perform electrical-related demolition and construction work on minor projects throughout campus.
Supervise lesser skilled workers in absence of Electrician Master.
Respond to campus maintenance emergencies.
Pick up parts and materials from vendors.
Assist other trades as needed.
Qualifications Two years of experience or training in electrical trade. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
