Under the direction of the Maintenance Lead, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for facilitating troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing, and improving process and packaging equipment to maximize production and maintain high standards in safety and quality. This position also improves maintenance procedures and manufacturing processes for the improvement of safety, quality, delivery, cost and culture. Key responsibilities

Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment Demonstrate troubleshooting capabilities on control systems, pumps, motors, HMIs, and PLCs on complex process and packaging equipment Perform various equipment preventive maintenance tasks as necessary, but routinely in cases requiring advanced technical expertise Assist in day-to-day support of operators for adjustments, setups, and change overs Participate in mandatory training sessions Keep the area, tools and equipment in your care clean and tidy Review documentation for maintenance activity using the maintenance database, adequately communicate maintenance issues to appropriate employees, and properly utilize the maintenance inventory system About you
Minimum of 5 years’ manufacturing experience, required Food manufacturing experience, preferred Vocational school, Industrial maintenance degree, technical college training, or completion of formal apprentice program, preferred Ability to read and understand manuals, line diagrams and schematics, required Ability to identify and analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications, required High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances, required High degree of attention and care required preventing injury to others with responsibility for flow of electrical power Exposed to voltages up to 480 Good organization, math, written and oral communication, detail oriented, interpersonal skills Self-motivated, must work autonomously with a minimum of supervision Ability to work in areas with temperatures of 100F-120F What you can expect from Barry Callebaut
