We are seeking a Senior Mechanic/Technician who will play a pivotal role in ensuring peak performance, advanced diagnostics, proactive maintenance, and mentorship for our field service team.

Job Summary As a Senior Mechanic/Technician, you will operate from a company‑provided van to deliver on‑site maintenance and repair service for forklifts, heavy machinery, and material handling equipment across warehousing, distribution, and manufacturing sites. You will diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, perform high‑quality repairs, and maintain fleet performance through scheduled inspections and safety checks.

Key Responsibilities

Operate from a company van, providing on‑site service and support to customers.

Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot forklifts, heavy machinery, and material handling equipment.

Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems and execute first‑time fixes.

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety checks to maximize uptime.

Document service reports, repair logs, and work orders with precision.

Adhere to OSHA standards and industry regulations for safety and compliance.

Engage with customers, offering expert consultation and technical solutions.

Lead, train, and mentor junior technicians, fostering a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years experience as a mechanic/technician in material handling, heavy equipment, or automotive industries.

Advanced knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and industrial machinery.

ASE certification in brakes, electrical, diesel, and preventive maintenance (forklift certification a plus).

Proficiency with diagnostic software, schematics, Microsoft Office, digital work platforms, and fleet management systems.

Strong troubleshooting, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.

Leadership and mentorship skills – proven ability to train and develop junior technicians.

Excellent customer‑service communication and relationship‑building skills.

Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, results‑driven work ethic.

Physical Requirements & Travel

Lift 50 + lbs and work in various environmental conditions.

Travel within an assigned territory using a company van (valid driver’s license required).
