The Industrial Engineering Manager is a business-minded individual with strong problem resolution skills who has a passion for continuous improvement, strategy, and innovation. This is a critical People Leader position which requires strong collaboration within the Spring Hill Manufacturing Complex. This position will supervise a team of Industrial Engineers at the Spring Hill Global Propulsion System (GPS) site. The Industrial Engineering Manager will develop, recommend, and implement changes which will result in the improvement of Safety, Product Quality and Throughput. This individual will work with all levels of the organization to drive CIP (Continuous Improvement Process), support steady state productivity improvements, and facilitate OpEx (Operational Excellence) activities. This individual will also be the primary person to exchange information with the Headquarters Industrial Engineering Team. What You'll Do (Responsibilities): Develop, recommend, and implement changes which will result in the improvement of manufacturing processes and or product quality. Develop, status, and analyze productivity and throughput in sufficient detail to monitor progress. Optimize sequence of operations and workflow. Work to improve efficiencies through waste elimination and process improvements. Perform data analysis to support reaching plant targets and tackle complex problems. Work directly with Headquarters Finance & Continuous Improvement teams to ensure plant budget compliance and to maintain Global Workbook and Benchmark Calculator entries. Participate in and/or lead Continuous Improvement Workshops to eliminate waste or drive throughput improvements. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications): Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing engineering or 5 years of relevant experience. 5+ years of Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering experience. Throughput improvement and/or waste elimination experience. High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of organization. High level of analytical ability. What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): Industrial Engineering/LMS (Lean Material Strategies). Assembly / Machining Processing Knowledge. PT-PM&C (Powertrain Process Monitoring & Control). GMS (Global Manufacturing System). GMOS (Global Material Optimization System). APS (Assembly Process System). OpEx (Operational Excellence). Strong Microsoft Excel spreadsheet experience. Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
