The Raleigh Convention & Performing Arts Complex invites candidates to apply for the role of
Booking/Marketing Coordinator . This position oversees the scheduling, contracting and marketing process for the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts resident companies. This position supports the Booking Manager by working with select local clients to book event space, oversee contractual requirements, and ensure client satisfaction while following booking policy and procedures.

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
Responsibilities
Manages the calendar for resident companies, ensuring the Performing Arts Center has the most up to date details and issues agreements when applicable.
Supports Booking Manager by securing and scheduling events with select local new and returning clients, conducting site visits, providing estimates of event costs, and drafting agreements for the Performing Arts Center while following booking priorities.
Assists in the coordination and management of pre-event booking details ensuring clients are well informed, policies are followed, and the Performing Arts Center has all required information.
Responsible for the collection, scheduling, and content management of all webpage, digital screen, and email marketing for resident company events.
Gathers, assembles, and distributes event materials, maintains records, files, and related event documentation in the Performing Arts Center’s event system. Requests and collects feedback from clients and ensures feedback is documented and addressed.
Helps collect and track event data to optimize use and success of venue.
Gathers certificates of insurance for all clients, ensuring accurate requirements are met.
Manages the scheduling of lobby music.
Other tasks as assigned by the Booking Manager.
Education and Experience Associate's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; 1 to 3 years' experience in marketing, social media, event coordination, or related field.
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted.
Knowledge Of
Basic contract agreement principles and practices
Social media, email marketing, and related online tools
Modern office practices and procedures including the use of standard office equipment and computer applications such as word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications
Business math concepts
Filing and record-keeping principles
Customer service principles
Skill In
Identifying meeting/event needs and coordinating required resources
Performing basic original research, compiling and assembling data
Organizing tasks, meeting deadlines and prioritizing competing demands
Following directions and meeting standards
Providing attention to detail in assignments
Proofreading and error correction
Business math computations
Organizing and maintaining records and files
Maintaining and updating data and documentation
Comprehending reference books and manuals
Operating assigned tools and equipment
Interpreting and applying applicable laws, codes, regulations and standards (based on assignment)

Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public and others
ADA and Other Requirements Physical Effort:
Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Work Environment:
Work is typically performed in an office or similar indoor environment. Employees may occasionally work in an outdoor or street environment (near moving traffic).
Work Exposures:
Work in this position does not require frequent environmental exposures.
