What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Review, docket, and distribute a high volume of incoming correspondence from the USPTO, WIPO, and foreign associates
Update docket based on USPTO filing receipts, WIPO confirmations, and correspondence from foreign associates
Monitor daily docket to ensure all deadlines are met and perform monthly status checks of pending U.S. patent applications
Manage incoming and outgoing transferred files and respond to internal inquiries
Save correspondence in the document management system to maintain electronic files
What is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum of 6 years of intellectual property experience in a law firm or legal services environment
Working knowledge of U.S. and International patent and trademark prosecution processes
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
Detail‑oriented with strong proofreading abilities
Proficient with MS Office applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Prior IP docketing experience, specifically in patent docketing
Familiarity with computer database programs, particularly FIP
Undergraduate degree in a related field
