Summary Coordinates care of assigned patients from admission to discharge and post‑hospital care; assesses appropriateness of level of care, communicating with patients, families, medical staff and third‑party payers as necessary to ensure effective patient care and resource utilization. Starting hourly rate is $45.94 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and the equivalent of two (2) years of full‑time clinical experience in Utilization Management/Discharge Planning, Home Health Care or Case Management; or
Associate’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of four (4) years of full‑time clinical experience in Utilization Management/Discharge Planning, Home Health Care or Case Management; or
Nursing diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full‑time clinical experience in Utilization Management/Discharge Planning, Home Health Care or Case Management.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing (BSN or above)
Experience:
Background in oncology nursing and/or homecare nursing.
Familiarity with InterQual or MCG clinical guidelines.
Proven experience in communicating with insurance companies, including authorization and utilization review processes.
