TRANSPORTATION SURVEYOR PARTY CHIEF (CALTRANS) Location: Alameda County. Telework: Hybrid. Job Type: Permanent, Full Time. Work location and salary details are provided in the posting. Responsibilities
Work as a first-line supervisor planning, coordinating, administering, and executing the work of a survey crew conducting preliminary, control, topographic, construction and cadastral land surveys under the general supervision of a Senior Transportation Surveyor. Train subordinates to perform land survey duties including operation of precision surveying instruments, proper surveying procedures, equipment maintenance, survey calculations and note keeping. Perform supervisor duties as a working first-line supervisor. Refer to the Duty Statement for further details. Qualifications
Special Requirements: The position(s) require(s) a California Land Surveyor License. A copy of your license must be provided prior to being hired. Appointment to Range D requires a valid Professional Land Surveying License issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. For all other ranges, this is not required. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle. Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If eligibility is based on education, provide unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification. Foreign transcripts/degrees require a U.S. equivalency evaluation. See the listed evaluation agencies.
