Veterinary Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator Colorado State University – Department of Veterinary Medicine, Fort Collins, CO

Job Summary Coordinating admissions and student services for the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Program, including event coordination, outreach, recruitment activities, student support, and general administrative assistance to faculty and staff.

Duties

Plan and execute recruitment events, showcases, and combined program orientations.

Assist in hiring, training, and overseeing DVM Ambassadors.

Manage transfer applications and related document workflows.

Support course auditing for applicant candidates.

Coordinate outreach and recruitment activities such as pre‑vet club meetings.

Process purchase transactions for admissions activities.

Assist with admissions operations, residency verification, and prerequisite review.

Provide customer service via phone and email to applicants.

Schedule campus tours and advising appointments.

Support Vet Prep and RLC programming: schedule rooms, communicate with students, coordinate catering.

Assist admissions committee with documentation and meeting logistics.

Collect and analyze data for outcomes measurements.

Perform additional duties as needed.

Assist DVM Student Services Team with administrative tasks, meetings, event planning, scholarships, and first‑year student transition.

Salary & Benefits Proposed annual salary: $48,000 – $51,000. Full‑time, 40 hrs/week, with required after‑hours support during the academic year.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or Associate’s + 3 years of related experience).

Prior professional experience in program coordination, admissions support, or a related higher‑education role.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Experience presenting information to diverse audiences.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; no visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working directly with college or secondary students in admissions, counseling, or advising.

Customer service experience.

Experience with program development.
